Virgil · The tools

One canvas. A wall of tools.

Photoshop gave designers one canvas and a wall of tools that all work on it. Virgil does the same for your work: every tool opens on your project, you and Virgil edit the same surface at the same time, and everything ends as a real file you can hand to someone.

Workbenches

Live surfaces you and Virgil edit at the same time. The state is a plain file in your project, and Output freezes it into a real deliverable.

Document

Virgil drafts, you edit, Virgil keeps going. The document is a plain file in your project, so nothing is trapped in an app. Press Output and it lands as a real .docx you can send to anyone.

Table

Rows appear as the work gets done: invoices matched, totals computed, statuses set. You can edit any cell by hand and Virgil works around you. Exports as CSV for Excel, Sheets, or your accountant.

Checklist

You tick what you did, Virgil ticks what it did, and it adds steps it discovers along the way. The checklist is the plan and the proof. Freeze it to a PDF whenever you need to show progress.

Board

Drag a card, and Virgil sees it. Virgil finishes a task, and the card slides to Done in front of you. Nobody else in the market shows a human and an agent working the same board at the same time. Output a status report your boss can open.

Point it at a table in your project and the chart draws itself: revenue by month, invoices by status, whatever the numbers say. You restyle it, Virgil updates it as the data changes. Output freezes it to a PNG for the deck or the report.

Stress Test

A prebuilt job: hand Virgil your pricing, your proposal, your plan, and it argues against you on purpose. You get a one-page brief of the holes it found and the fixes it proposes, before a client finds them first.

Assembly Line

Each station is a step: research, draft, check, hand off. Stations can go to agents on the project, so the checker is not the writer. One click runs the line end to end, and the finished work lands in your Output rail with every station accounted for.

The state is a file. That is the whole trick.

Every surface you see is a plain file sitting in your project folder, on your computer. You drag a card, the file changes. Virgil finishes a task, the same file changes, and your window repaints. No sync service, no cloud copy, nothing trapped in an app. Press Output and the surface freezes into a spreadsheet, document, deck, or PDF in your Output rail.

Your Excel talking to your Word document while creating your PowerPoint.

Because every tool is a file in the same project, Virgil reads all of them at once. When it drafts a proposal, it already knows what is on your board, what the budget table says, and what the whiteboard brainstorm landed on. No copying between apps, no “pull from this spreadsheet.” The context is free because the files are together.

In the old world, each app is a silo. Your spreadsheet does not know what your document says. Your presentation cannot see your project board. Virgil skips all of that. One project, one folder, one agent that sees everything.

Make it yours

Every project gets its own look. Every export gets your brand.

Pick a color for each project so your workspace reads at a glance: Forest for the client work, Midnight for the books, Ember for the launch. Then pick a font pack, and every document, deck, and report you export comes out in those fonts and that accent, ready to send. It is stored in the project like everything else, so Virgil can restyle it too.
